Held on the golden sands outside La Sala by the Sea, between the vibrant Puerto Banus marina and the luxurious Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus, these classes invite both locals and visitors to start their day with the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the gentle flow of yoga.
Margaret’s Strala class combines traditional yoga and movement with the healing wisdom of tai chi, qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This unique approach helps people release stress, heal, build strength, increase flexibility and mobility, and find balance through a gentle practice that feels good. This open and accessible 60 minute class is suitable for all ages and all levels – no experience is needed and is priced at just 10€ per session.
“Strala is not about reaching a goal or a perfect pose,” says instructor Margaret Buchanan. “It is about enjoying the journey and creating an experience.”

With the sand beneath your feet and the sea breeze in your hair, these sessions are the perfect way to start the day. Mats are provided if required.
After the class, many attendees choose to stay for a swim in the sea or even a paddle – all are welcome to join, although entirely optional.
